Separators

Separators, or spacers, are tiny rubber bands that are placed in between the teeth to help make space. We do this to prepare for appliances like expanders and bands. Separators work very quickly and will likely cause the teeth to feel achy and sore. Do not floss around these areas and avoid sticky foods that can pull them out. If they come out prior to your appointment, please call us ahead of your visit.
