What is your favorite season, and why? Fall, because of the cool weather & pumpkin spice lattes!
Dr. Jeffrey Kwong earned his dental degree with highest honors in Cleveland, Ohio at Case Western Reserve University. He loved it there so much he decided to stay on to complete his orthodontic specialty training.
He received the clinical award at his graduation. In addition to his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, he obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry with a Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Jeff’s master’s thesis on conebeam 3D x-ray technology was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, an internationally acclaimed and recognized orthodontic journal. Yet, the best thing that happened during his time at school was meeting his wife, Dr. Lisa Ngo.
Following graduation, Dr. Jeff decided to settle down in Sacramento, where Lisa has many family members locally. After growing up in Toronto and living in Cleveland, he is no stranger to the cold and immediately fell in love with the snow in Lake Tahoe. Dr. Jeff and Lisa have two sons, Ryan and Alex.
In addition to his passion for orthodontics, Dr. Jeff loves to spend time with his family, try different kinds of cuisine, travel, watch movies, ski, and stay active.
Dr. Jeff decided to pursue a career in orthodontics because his own orthodontist made a great impact on his life. He believes that his kids help to keep him young at heart and allow him to relate to his patients. He is looking forward to meeting you and treating you with the utmost care and attention.
What you’ll find out about Dr. Jeff is that he’s passionate about giving back whether it’s to the community, or to his profession. Our motto at JKO is “Live. Smile. Give. Repeat.” It’s four words, but they mean something. We live fully, we share our smiles, we give back to the people around us, and we do it again. The ways you’ll see Dr. Jeff show up is that he’s El Dorado Hills Soccer clubs first and Legacy partner, he teaches Dental assistants locally at the Foundation for Allied Dental Education and he currently serves on the board of the California Association of Orthodontists as President.
